Awesome! Is the best way to describe Hard Times. I love small town diner restaurants and this one is Excellent!. They had an amazing breakfast/lunch buffet...and it had incredible fried chicken and great cinnamon rolls. If you are in Decatur, you need to eat here.

Fantastic family diner. Their menu is huge (and so are the serving sizes so come hungry). I had the half order of the country omlette with gravy on it. It was fantastic and filling. My son had the waffle banana split and that was amazing. Also if you enjoy chocolate milk try the Fancy chocolate milk that comes with whip cream and chocolate chips.

My father and I go to different breakfast places every weekend and this is one of our favorites in this area. Their Sunday brunch buffet is amazing. They have a great selection with a wide variety of food. I like that they have different types of eggs available on the buffet: scrambled, over medium and an omelette. Their homemade soups are very tasty. My daughter ordered pancakes with strawberries, bananas, and whipped topping. She didn't eat it all (because they were huge). I got to taste them and they were very good as well. They also have different fresh fruit toppings you can get on them. Service is always friendly and decor has a rich hometown feeling.

Good, usually better, we had the buffet. The chicken was good as always not any wings left though. The chicken and dumplings were like mushed together. The pot roast carrots were not done.
